HOW TO MAKE TISSUE DISPENSER ‘BLESS YOU’ JARS

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m huge on arts & crafts! I always have so much fun creating and being unique with a project. Before receiving one of these Bless You Jars as a gift, I didn’t even know that they existed. But now that I do, I’m obsessed! I think it’s the cutest little way to display tissues rather than just having them in the typical cardboard box. Plus, they are a blast to make!

So for my fellow crafty friends out there, I wanted to share with you guys the step by step instructions along with some visuals on how to make one of these just in case you too would like one or have been looking for a new project to try out! They truly make the perfect gift for a friend or even for yourself because it’s such a unique home accessory that anyone will love! Let’s get started.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Large mason jar, spray paint, perfect fit Kleenex, fake flowers, hot glue gun and glue, vinyl letters and twine rope.

STEP 1:

Spray paint your mason jar to the color of your choice. You may need to do a few coats in order to make sure that it’s color is solid enough to where you can’t see any glass. Before continuing on to step 2, make sure that the paint is completely dry or it could mess things up.

STEP 2:

Get your hot glue gun and glue on the rope and flower around the “neck” of the jar.

STEP 3:

There is many different ways you can do this step, it’s just about what you prefer and have access to. You can either paint the phrase on, use vinyl lettering that’s pre made or you can do your own vinyl if you have a cricut machine. My cousin has a cricut and so she was able to cut out the phrase for me for this project. So in the pictures, that’s what you’ll see but like I said it can be done multiple ways!

STEP 4:

Get your perfect fit Kleenex out and take off the lid. This type of Kleenex I have only ever found at Target but it possibly could be found online somewhere too. Once you take off the lid of it, you will need to carefully push out the piece within the lid that the tissues come out of.

STEP 5:

Once you get the piece unstuck from the lid, place that into the screw on cap of the mason jar and then set it aside.

STEP 6:

Take the Kleenex’s out of it’s original can and place them into the mason jar. Be sure to keep the shape of them so that way they don’t unravel or mess up.

STEP 7:

Screw on the cap of the mason jar and pull the tissues through it. After that, you’re all done!

Aren’t they the cutest?! I just love them. I honestly would love to make more of these I just don’t have the space for them once they’re complete.. haha! Please let me know if you decide to make one for yourself! I would absolutely love to see the creative twist you put on yours. That’s the cool thing about crafts, each person’s final product is unique to them! Anyways, I hope you guys have an awesome weekend and maybe even hit up Michaels for some craft supplies. (; See ya next week!

XOXO,

Jaz
